Latest Reviews"Crimson-purple; has a dusting of spice and pepper on the plum and blackberry fruit of the bouquet; the palate has very good texture and length, the fruit flavours enhanced by spot-on picking." Rated 94 James Halliday - 2011 Australian Wine Companion "It smells fresh and sweet, but boy, does it deliver a mouthful of yummy flavour. It's got softness, impact and character. It tastes of plums, raisins, cherries and dried herbs, and when you swallow it leaves an aftertaste of hazelnuts, spice and fresh, ripe berries. Super drinking." 92 Points. Wines & Tasting Notes |
The POSTCODE concept was devised in early 2007 with the first wines released in early 2008. POSTCODE is a new label for Meerea Park Wines, based in Pokolbin.
The POSTCODE label allows Meerea Park to become a specialist Hunter Valley producer, while also being able to dabble in other varieties and styles of wine not easily produced from the Hunter Valley. With Rhys Eather as the winemaker, POSTCODE will be able to deliver the same innovation and quality Meerea Park has become known for.
The philosophy is to make wines from both established and emerging regions that show unique regional and varietal characters. These wines will be from single regions and on many occasions single vineyards, allowing us to give them a POSTCODE designation.
